Fixed Wire Testing (EICR)

What is Fixed Wire Testing?

Electrical Installation Condition Reporting (also referred to as Periodic Inspection Report) is a procedure that’s undertaken to evaluate and report on the condition of an electrical installation to help ensure its safety.

Therefore, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recommend periodic electrical inspections and testing should be undertaken at all places of work. To minimise risks and ensure your electrical installation complies with all relevant regulations, AES provide comprehensive Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) to comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations and BS7671:2008.

The process of the inspection involves the following

  • Visual Inspections of all circuits and control gear/protective devices
  • Identify any damaged electrical fittings and accessories
  • Identify any exposed live parts
  • Identify any insulation breakdown/poor earthing
  • Provide a comprehensive NICEIC report
  • Produce a full list of typed defects and recommendations for remedial action
  • Provide a free quote and prices for any remedial works required as standard, allowing you to allocate budgets

We can also carry out electrical testing & inspection in Bristol on the following
